There's a reason they made a point to preserve freedom of speech, freedom of religion and, most importantly for the current discussion, the separation of church and state.
They wished to take the opportunity to break free from the patterns of life that led to the tyranny and suffering which plagued the Old World.
They were not trying to recreate a culture that had hit its capacity for growth given the idiosyncratic circumstances of its history, that was unprepared to grow to the next level on account of those limitations.
If they wanted to repeat the mistakes of Europe they wouldnt have worked so hard to build an entirely new society that might avoid those mistakes, that led to Europeans being so miserable in Europe they decided to take their chances crossing the Atlantic on floating barrels and fend of bear attacks as they scratched a living in the frozen, rocky New England dirt.
America represents the point at which Eurochristian civilization was handed the baton of logos and leadership. That the pinnacle of American philosophical thought was Emerson and his disciple Thoreau, the Plato and Arsitotle of the New World, the former known best for his seminal work literally titled "Self Reliance", and the later of whom decided he was going to go and live by himself in the middle of a forest because who the f*** needs people amirite?

It was hard to survive here. But if you did, the rewards were....profuse.

Yes, America went on to become the site of humanities greatest advancements and discoveries to date. Yes, America has gone on now to become not just a civilization, but a benchmark for civilizations to come as Rome was for those that came after it.
But the heart of this land has retained its savage character.
Because for all it's extravagence and finery, Rome always boasted about having been raised by wolves in the forest.

Cooperation and collaboration can get us farther than pure selfish competition. Because the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
No person is an island unto themselves.
