An earnest conversation between Self and Other in connection with an article published in Haaretz:

Self: 

Nice, have your own guy prosecute you so he can pull the punches at your signal. Oh how nobly impartial are the all the fine warriors of justice produced by the fascist sh**hole that is Israel.

Other:

He filed a case against Israel with the ICC 15 years ago. If nothing else, he’s really trying and has an interesting legal idea that no one else has had.

Self:  

Can you honestly sit there and expect anyone, let alone me, to have any kind of faith in any kind of product of any institution that emerges from Israel? Do you recognize the profound trust deficit - nay - trust bankruptcy in which the name of Israel, and arguably and sad to say the Jewish people as a whole at the moment, finds itself mired beyond salvation? Do you understand the instinct to recoil and treat with extreme suspicion any person, object, idea or any phenomenon whatsoever bearing the name "Israel" anywhere in their vicinity? Do you realize that, short of a divine miracle by the very Hand of the Lord of Lords, no matter how well intentioned the context in which the besmirched name of a once holy kingdom is uttered, it will be instinctively met with paranoia, distrust, revulsion and contempt? Do you realize the magnitude of the mutilation inflicted on the legacy of the Children of Israel by the actions of the modern state of Israel? Let me assure you, with the full extent of my humble possession of knowledge and experience, that it is....orders of magnitude worse than the worst criticism I could ever find the willingness to muster.

Other:

I am not prepared to spike every individual Israeli- not Gideon Levy, not Amira Hass, not Ilan Pappe, not Jeff Halper, and not his guy. Shatz doesn’t even live in Israel. You can get as angry as you want - I’m right with you- but don’t throw this guy away because he was born in Israel.

Self:

I'm not even angry anymore. I'm too exhausted and depleted for that.

But the rest of the world is.

You may not be prepared to accept the collective denigration of everything Israel.

I am simply pointing out that it has already happened, regardless of your own choices and preferences in the matter.

I mean hey, we still buy Chanel and Mercedes and the rocketry developed by Nazis. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, right?

Somehow, the fact that some Nazis were highly accomplished, even if they weren't truly sympathetic to Nazism in their hearts, does not make acknowledging their value any more platable, does it?

It's kind of like sifting through excrement to find anything of redeemable nutritional value. Or jewelry swallowed on purpose to smuggle it past Nazi checkpoints.

That's what Israel has become now. A broken clock that's clogged with excrement. Best to just toss the whole thing out instead of attempting to salvage it.

The Israelis who actually confront their government are braver than me. Not many people can stand up to a dangerous entity and the hatred of their friends and family. I’m willing to give them a pass, and maybe treat them as heroes.

well, you're in a tiny minority. Everyone else can only ever see them as timid collaborators like the "ordinary Germans" who didn't have the courage to take a stronger more effective stance besides token mewling in domestically unpopular publications.

I have far more respect for the Palestinians who ACTUALLY have the courage to stand up to said "dangerous entity" despite the fact that they have neither the access and resources of your heroes, nor their racial and political privilege under an apparthied regime.stubborn insistence is not a compelling argument against facts on the ground. 

The days of Zionists unilaterally imposing their version of reality are over. 

Now they just seem like the hysterical delusions of a people who stare in horror as all their well laid plans some crashing all around them, unable to accept the inevitably of a reality they crafted with their own hands.

But sure, stick your fingers in your ears and defend the honor of Israeli "heroes" like Pape. That'll convince people Israel isn't a nation of sociopathic frauds and you can't trust a single word out of their gaslighting mouths 👍

Forget about litmus tests. Henceforth, anyone who refuses to affirm the following catechism, in word and deed, will be treated as a collaborater and a fascist sympathizer:

"I renounce the State of Israel and all the works of the State of Israel as I renounce Satan and all the works of Satan".

 I don’t understand. If an Israeli has the same opinions as you and acts on them, why are they more sociopathic than you?

Self:

Because their actions further the mass murder of children. Even if it's by perpetuating the false facade of Israel being a "civilized nation" with "open discussion" and "intellectual freedom". It's an extension of the age old desperate effort to maximize Israel's supposed moral superiority while minimizing it's demonstrated tendency towards viewing non-Jews as subhuman animals worthy only of hewing rock and carrying water and burying their infants en masse. It's an attempt to salvage the reputation of a nation who by rights deserves to be taken to the gates of the town and stoned by all the other townspeople, to affirm their commitment to repudiating wickedness. Hasbara Junk Bonds instead of Israel bonds, if you will.

These guys are doing everything to bust the facade of civilization. Writing a brief that accuses Israel of attempting genocide in an international court is not an attempt to shore up Israel’s reputation. We agree the Israeli government is evil and doing as you describe and most of the Jewish citizens support it, but why drag these people into it.

I understand what you are saying.

Let me respond to you, the way so many Zionists have responded to me when they had no further justification left for the uncountable frauds and atrocities perpetrated by the Zionist machines of lies and death:

It is what it is.

We do not need Israel's to start posing as valiant defenders of justice. Nobody has the appetite for this, and it provokes nausea. The world wants to see Israelis doing absolutely nothing besides hanging their heads in shame and taking their punishment.

Other:

You’re so much better than those Zionists. 

Self: 

Maybe. But the people the Zionists have pissed off may not be. In fact, they may be much, much worse. 

Israel has forfeited it's right to produce heroes. Now, it is cursed to watch as even it's heroes are villainized and spat on.

And this time, there won't be a single shred of sympathy to be found for those who will suffer the consequences brought about by their wayward brethren.

Now, them and their enablers will stand on the gallows and look out onto a sea of dry eyes, stone hearts and unsmiling faces, all grimly waiting for the executioner to pull the lever and effectuate justice.

watch out- you’re an American. You can get hoisted on the same logic.

Self:

I am ready to accept whatever the will of my Lord may be.

Can Israel and it's terrified supporters say the same?

When my time comes, I hope I can meet my sentence with honor and dignity. 

Instead of desperately trying to come up with increasingly shrill excuses while my own piss dribbles down my leg, ending in a final yelp before my neck snaps at the end of a rope.

As a Jew and an American I have trouble convincing people that I’m not a fascist, racist, etc. it’s more exhausting than actually doing the important work of demolishing the Zionist state.

Self: 

In the last 20 years, Muslims have been universaly reviled by every single political, ethnic and ecomic group in America. 

Liberals hate us because they see us all as woman hating, homosexual prosecuting, superstitous, ignorant, retrogressive barbarians. 

Right wingers hate us for not worshiping the right god and having the temerity to exist on top of oil and land they desired. 

I could begin to list all the racist macro and microaggresions I have experienced in America from the tender age of 13 till today, but they are too many and I am too tired. 

That anti-muslim hatred was driven in no small part by Zionist idealogues, lobbyists and everyday Hasbarists who took every opportunity to feed every possible lie and distortion and slander into the ears of the American public which they happened to have access to. 

I do not say this to minimize your suffering, only to admit that it is a little difficult for me to be sympathetic. 

That said, if I complain about my people being treated disrespectfully, I must be vigilant when other communities experieince unwarranted hostility and opression. 

A brilliant political satirist by the name of Carlos Mencia once made the observation that on 9/11, all the blacks, hispanics and jews walked up to the Muslims, tapped them on the shoulder and said "tag, youre it". 

Because America always needs at least one minority boogeyman to demonize in order to galvanize the sedentary and complacent Eurochristian majority into action by presenting them with false existential threats. 

It appears we have come full circle. 

After having run through Muslims (terrorism), blacks (BLM) and hispanics (immigrants), a new round of "whose ruining America" has begun and the lineup must start from the top. Time for the Hebrews to step back up to the plate and batter up. Hopefully your skills in surviving majoritarian persecution have not atrophied since they fried Julius and Ethel. 

Nah...y'all are the all time champions at that particular sport. You'll be fine.

And dont worry, the Zionist state will collapse with or without your help. That much is a certainty under every single frame of analysis ranging biblical to realpolitik. I simply see no way that Israel will last, at least in its current form, for more than a generation or two. If that. 

I do not say that as someone who nececsarily wishes to see the destruction of the State of Israel. Had they not continually threatened Al Aqsa and attempted to ethnically cleanse the west bank, there was a possibility for israelt o settle into a stable city state sufficiently integrated into the region to endure for the "1000" years Naftali Bennet desired. Concessions could have been made after adequate reperations to those displaced in 1948 that could have led to the acceptance of a jewish homeland in at least part of the historical homeland of the Jewish people. 

They murdered that possibility with their own hands, one Palestinian child at a time.
